Objective

The objective of this information brief is to present a summary of the evidence on the effectiveness of SQ-LNS for preventing child undernutrition, discuss how it differs from MQ-LNS and MNP and describe key programmatic considerations for incorporating SQ-LNS into WFP programmes. The note also provides links to key operational guidance documents and other relevant resources to support WFP country offices and partners in making informed decisions around SQ-LNS programming. This note is intended to complement the operational guidance issued by the SQ-LNS Task Force and it is suggested that country offices moving towards programming SQ-LNS read these two resources in tandem.
